At St. Marie’s RCP, we value and are dedicated to the teaching of Art and believe high-quality Art lessons will inspire children to think innovatively and creatively. We see this as a fundamental part of school life which enables us to see the wonder in God’s creation. We are committed to providing an ‘Arts Rich Curriculum’ for our children. This curriculum will develop children’s critical abilities and understanding of their own and others’ cultural heritages through studying a diverse range of artists. We believe that by developing this, we can contribute to the quality of our children’s lives, both within and beyond school. The skills, knowledge and understanding that are developed in this subject will enable children to know more, remember more and understand more.
